Maison Dawah, located on rue Labourdonnais in Port Louis, is organizing this activity for the fifth consecutive year.
This NGO makes an annual plea for solidarity with our compatriots who are less fortunate. “Every employee in the nation receives a year-end bonus in December. In this context, Maison Dawah is collecting non-perishable food items from Thursday, December 20 to Sunday, December 30, 2018,” stated President Hossen Kurrimboccus.
Following that, food packages will be prepared and distributed across Mauritius and Rodrigues.
The aim is to give food pack valued at between Rs 800 and Rs 1000 to about 1000 households. “As a result, we are appealing for your generosity in contributing to this act of solidarity. Our less fortunate countrymen and their children will be overjoyed with this extra additional supply,”Hossen, the president of Maison Dawah, added.
