The essence of Islam is mercy, generosity and good character.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Nothing will be heavier on the believer’s Scale on the Day of Resurrection than good character. Indeed, Allah is angered by the one who is foul-mouthed and obscene.”(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2002 – Sahih)
This beautiful hadith reminds us that good character is among the greatest qualities a believer can possess. Acts of kindness, generosity, compassion, and caring for those in need are all reflections of excellent character and earn immense reward in the sight of Allah ﷻ.
Inspired by this Prophetic teaching, Maison Dawah continued its Food Pack Programme in July 2026, extending support to vulnerable families and new Muslims to ensure they feel cared for, valued, and strengthened by the spirit of brotherhood and compassion in Islam.
Each food pack contained wholesome essentials such as rice, milk, sugar, tea, cooking oil, pulses, canned food, and other nutritious items, together with meat portions (qurbani), to help meet the daily nutritional needs of each household.
Alhamdulillah, 100 families benefited from this initiative. Each food pack was valued at approximately Rs 710, while meat portions valued at Rs 400 each were provided in addition to the food packs. We pray that these provisions bring relief, comfort, and happiness to every family while reflecting the noble values of generosity, mercy, and good character that Islam encourages.
The distribution started on 9 July 2026 and proceeded smoothly throughout the month, Alhamdulillah. We pray Allah ﷻ to accept this humble effort, bless all our donors for their generosity, and grant every beneficiary abundant barakah, ease, and steadfastness in faith. Ameen.
