On Saturday, 18 October 2025, Maison Dawah had the privilege of conducting a Family Dawah programme at the residence of one of our beneficiaries, Pailles. The initiative formed part of our efforts to promote Islamic education within families in a warm and supportive environment. The event brought together parent, grand parent, brothers, sisters, and children in a setting of learning, reflection, and togetherness.

The team arrived at 10: 05 a. m., and they were warmly received by the family. Shortly thereafter, the programme commenced under the leadership of Br. Ahamad, who expressed gratitude to the hosts and highlighted the importance of family-based Islamic learning, where values and knowledge are shared within the home.

The event continued with a beautiful recitation of Surah Al-Layl Hydayah of grade 5, which created a spiritual atmosphere and reminded everyone of the value of Qur’an learning among children and youths. This was followed by a presentation from Sister Nusayhah on cleanliness in Islam. She explained that cleanliness has both a physical and spiritual aspects, quoting hadith and Qur’anic verses. To finish she made a live demonstration how to do wudhu for the participants.

The programme then moved on for discussions on Islamic fundamentals presented by Br. Ahamad and Br. Sameed. The meaning of Islam, submission to Allah, and the message of peace in

“As-salaamu ‘alaykum” were explained clearly. The five pillars of Islam were addressed, highlighting their relevance to daily life: faith, prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage.

A major focus of the event was explanation on the Oneness of Allah (Tawheed). Participants were reminded that Allah is Unique, without partner, parent, child or equal, and that associating partners with Him (shirk) is the gravest sin. Reflections on creation, human life, and nature encouraged everyone to contemplate the signs of Allah around them. The talks also touched on Islamic manners of eating and drinking and the importance of gratitude and avoiding harmful practices.

A special moment was experienced during the Adhaan and congregational Zuhr prayer. After performing wudhu, all participants prayed together in Jama’at, thus strengthening the sense of community and family worship. Lunch was then served, and the meal was enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere with heartfelt conversations and mutual appreciation.

After lunch, gifts were presented to members of the host family, including the children, and the gesture was received with gratitude and emotion. In his closing address, Br. Ahamad emphasised the responsibility of parents to nurture their children’s Islamic education and to continue seeking knowledge throughout life.

Alhamdulillah, the Family Dawah Programme at Pailles concluded successfully. It strengthened bonds, deepened understanding of core Islamic principles, and created cherished memories for both hosts and participants. We pray that Allah rewards all who contributed, blesses the host family, and enables us to continue promoting knowledge, unity, and faith within our communities.
